INTRODUCTION

The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are the reference diplomas for FLE (Français Langue Etrangère - French as a Foreign Language). They are awarded by the French Ministry of Education. Their levels correspond to the scales of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:

• DELF A1 and DELF A2 for a basic user,

• DELF B1 and DELF B2 for an independent user,

• DALF C1 and DALF C2 for a proficient user.

Three of their characteristics are noteworthy:

• Above all, the student's communicative skills are assessed.

• The scores obtained in the four parts of the exam are compensatory (a total minimum of 50/100 must be achieved, with a minimum of 5/25 in each of the four parts).

• They do not have an expiration date.

TEST PREPARATION

​

Specific preparation for the DELF and DALF diplomas consists of:

• Presentation of the exam's characteristics.

• Detection and correction of significant gaps.

• Explanation of grammatical structures and connectors highly valued by examiners.

• Study of a dossier with texts and vocabulary on each potential topic (in order to acquire new vocabulary and, above all, relevant arguments and examples for any question).

• Completion of multiple activities based on specialized manuals from CLE International publishing house.

• Individualized correction of written assignments produced by the student.

• Simulation of exams, under the same conditions as the official exam day.

• Personalized answers to any questions about the exam and advice for registration procedures.
